Installation Guide

Pre-Work: A Create questions, answers, and estimated costs for the quiz

In the installation guide above, we use a past client, who owns a remodel business, as an example. Each multiple-choice answer produces a different cost.

i.e. Do you need the design created? Yes = $4725; No = $0

Pre-Work: B Setup Notion Sales Pipeline

Using Notion’s Customized Layouts feature, add the questions from your quiz as properties, then group them into a section to easily hide when not needed. If you do not want to map every answer to a property, there is an alternate option below in Step 1 to follow to track the referral source instead.

Check out our Data Center Workshop to learn how to achieve this for your Sales Pipeline.

Pre-Work: C Create Tally Account / Setup Form

Step 1 Add Calculated Field

The Calculated Field must be added first before ANY questions, for it to work.

  1. Type ‘/’, and selected Calculated Fields

  2. Name the Field (i.e. Kitchen Estimate)

  3. Select Number

  4. Type 0 in the initial output

Option for Answers Mapping: Instead of mapping every answer to a property, you can track the quiz as a referral source. Note, Webhooks can only map existing data, so this will allow you to add the referral source with every submission.

To do so,

  1. Under the 1st Calculated Field, add another Calculated Field

  2. Label it, ‘Lead Source’

  3. Select Text from the dropdown

  4. Add ‘Lead Magnet Quiz’ as the output

Step 4 Add Total Estimation Output

This quiz will show one question at a time, so each “page” can show the total estimation at the top.

  1. Start a new line and type ‘Total Estimate: $’

  2. Type ‘@"‘ and select the Kitchen Estimate calculated field

Step 5 Add Question 1

  1. Type ‘/’ and select the type of question you need, i.e. multiple choice

  2. Add question

  3. Add answers

Step 6 Add Calculation for Question 1

  1. Type ‘/’ and select Conditional Logic

  2. Add Conditions

    1. When… (first question) is … Yes

    2. then Calculate ‘Kitchen Estimate’… Add + …. (input) 4725

Step 7 Add New Page

  1. Type ‘/’ and select New Page

This will allow the quiz to show one question as a time.

Step 7 Repeat Steps 4-7 for every question until complete

Questions with multiple answers & calculations

For questions with multiple answers and outputs, use the OR grouping within the Conditional Logic.

Step 8 Submission Page

On the final page of the quiz, create fields for users to add their name, email, etc. Make sure to include language regarding the estimation & what to expect next.

Step 8 Setup Webhook to Notion

  1. Publish Form

  2. Select the ‘Integrations’ tab in the quiz’s settings

  3. Click ‘Connect’ under Notion

  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect your Notion account

  5. Select the Database to add the submissions to (i.e. Sales Pipeline)

  6. Option A - Map all questions

    1. select each question and match it to an existing database property

  7. Option B - Map Lead Source & add question submissions to the page body

    1. Select Lead Source and map to Referral property

    2. Add each question to the page using the ‘@’ to select; pro tip: type the question first, then add the output so you know which answer is which.

  8. Connect with Notion

  9. Complete a Test Submission

Step 9 Embed Quiz to Website
